Most meters accept quarters, dimes and nickles. They do not accept credit cards. But check out the Passport parking app. It can be found at https://www.passportparking.com. It's easy to download and set up. You can then pay for parking from your phone. Or be sure to grab a handful of change before you leave home. Many of our businesses keep a courtesy bowl of change at their wrap desk. Just ask. Hours of operation are:
Sundays, New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are free parking days. The Nazareth Borough Council occasionally suspends meters for special events. Most meters have a 3 hour maximum parking limit. There are a few handicapped only and 15 minute parking limit spaces scattered throughout the downtown. Be sure to check the signs. There is a municipal parking lot located just north of the Nazareth Municipal Building at 134 S Main Street. This lot is conveniently located for downtown shopping. There are metered spaces here and this is a perfect option if parallel parking is not your favorite activity. |
